Apple’s $19 Polishing Cloth is compatible with a wide range of devices, including the iPod Nano. The Apple cloth has a lengthy compatibility list, but this is why you should shop around. Apple’s October Unleashed event featured the unveiling of powerful, high-priced devices. On Apple’s Livestream, the newly redesigned MacBook Pro and the third-generation AirPods took up the most space.

The former reintroduces the HDMI connector, as well as MagSafe charging, a full SD card reader, and the option of the new M1 Pro or M1 Max chips. Meanwhile, the new AirPods include previously exclusive features to the AirPods Pro, such as spatial audio with head tracking, water resistance, and longer battery life.

However, all of these revelations could be considered quite pricey, with the most powerful MacBook Pro costing as much as $6,100 and a plethora of competing for wireless headphones offering much of what the AirPods offer for less money.

So, if you want to purchase a new Apple product right now without taking out a line of credit, Apple has released the $19 (£19, AU$29) Polishing Cloth, which has perhaps the most extensive backward-compatibility list in recent memory. If you thought iOS 15 worked on the iPhone 6S from 2015, how about an Apple product in 2021 that is certified to work on the iPod Nano from 2012? On the high end, this cloth also works with the $6,000 Apple Pro Display XDR monitor.

What a variety. But, hopefully, you’re already aware that Apple’s Polishing Cloth has wandered into a field teeming with competition and far less expensive competitors. How cheap is it, you ask? You can get a 36-pack of Amazon Basics microfiber cleaning cloths for $18.86, which is 14 cents less than the cost of a single Apple Polishing Cloth. Apple’s cloth may also take some time to reach customers; as of this writing, Apple’s store estimates the delivery time to be between 10 and 12 weeks.

We’ll have to wait until we get our hands on Apple’s Polishing Cloth before passing judgment. It could be the best polishing cloth on the market. However, if you find yourself in the Apple Store making a purchase and this accessory is available, it may be worth your time to compare pricing with other vendors.
