Method #1. Use Spotify app

  1. Play your music or podcast on Spotify.
  2. Tap the song title to launch the music player.
  3. Tap the three-dot icon in the upper right corner.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and select Sleep Timer.
  5. Select an appropriate time.

That’s all! Spotify will automatically stop playing after the time specified in the previous option has passed.

Method #2. Use the Clock app

  1. Launch the Clock app.
  2. The timer will be activated.
  3. Set the time before Spotify should stop.
  4. When the timer expires, tap Stop Playing Set.
  5. To start the timer, press the green Start button.

Your music will now stop playing when the timer expires, similar to the Sleep Timer in Spotify.

Method #3. Use the Shortcuts app set a Spotify Sleep Timer on iPhone

  1. Start the Shortcuts app.
  2. Create Personal Automation by selecting Automation.
  3. Select the appropriate time by tapping Time of Day.
  4. Select daily to make it happen every day.
  5. At the top right, tap Next.
  6. Tap Add Action, then search for and select Play/Pause.
  7. Select Pause by tapping the Play/Pause text in the created action.
  8. At the top right, tap Next.
  9. Toggle off Ask Before Running and choose Don’t Ask.
  10. Finally, press the Done button.

When you set it, your iPhone will now automatically stop playing Spotify. This feature is also compatible with other apps, such as YouTube and Apple Music, in addition to Spotify.

Method #4. Using Battery settings on Mac

  1. Tap the Apple logo in the upper left corner.
  2. Navigate to System Preferences.
  3. Select Battery.
  4. Select Power Adapter.
  5. Drag the slider to the desired time.
  6. Uncheck Prevent your Mac from sleeping automatically when the display is turned off.

You can also automate this at a fixed time every day.

  1. As previously mentioned, go to Battery and then click Schedule on the left.
  2. Select the Sleep option.
  3. Choose Every Day (or your preferred days) and enter the time.
  4. Finally, click Apply.

Your Mac will now sleep at this predetermined time, just like your iPhone.
