Here is the method to use HomePods and HomePods Mini with Mac:
- Launch the Home App on your Mac.
- Check that HomePod is visible here before moving on to the next step.
- Now navigate to System Preferences or System Settings (macOS Ventura and above).
- Select Sound Output.
- To begin playing material on HomePod, select HomePod from the options.
Why is HomePod not connecting?
Check the following if your HomePod is not shown in the Home app or Sound Preferences:
- HomePod and Mac share the same Wi-Fi network and Apple ID.
- In your Sound Preferences, you have selected the proper device.
- Try increasing or adjusting the volume on your HomePod.
